Meet Reed Hazard

Professional Counselor Intern

Reed is an intern who is currently working towards her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Providence. Reed is a Portland native, and has always had a knack for connecting with humans of all walks of life. While Reed is working on her masters, she enjoys yoga, being outside, and reading a good book.

Reed believes the most challenging parts of our life can create some of the deepest growth. Every person has a unique and individualized story attached to them. Within our stories, many feelings, thoughts, actions and life experiences shape our understanding of life. Sometimes these human experiences can be difficult, overwhelming, and very painful.

She focuses on Integrating Radical Acceptance, Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic Interventions for individuals to live a more present and meaningful life. Reed offers mindfulness practices, so individuals are able to have more autonomy over their lives. The ultimate goal of her work is for people to feel empowered while being their most authentic self.
