Meet Jenifer Harrison
Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
Friends and acquaintances jovially liken Jenifer to "Erin Brockovich" with a heart of "Dharma." Jenifer works tirelessly to support her client’s healing while honoring their journey and accomplishments. Jenifer is known in the industry as ‘dual disciplined’ in both family law (divorce, child custody, and parenting time) and psychology. Jenifer brings over 12 years of experience in Oregon family law divorce litigation into her mental health therapeutic practice. Her therapeutic work specialties include infidelity, betrayal trauma, pornography addiction, compulsive sexual behaviors, families in transition, blended families, unmarried parents, divorce, gray or grey divorce, co-parenting, parent alienation, parent/child unification, child/teen and parent conflicts, parent coordination, borderline personality disorder (BPD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Jenifer has had first-hand experiences with her areas of specialty, and as such, clients form strong therapeutic bonds with her.
Jenifer works from an eclectic, client-centered approach with the belief in people’s ability to have insight and understanding about their personal issues. Jenifer uses several different modalities to treat those she meets with, depending on their presenting problem(s). Jenifer has had tremendous success with Solutions Focused Therapy, Structural Focused Therapy, Strategic Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Bowen Family Systems for assessment and treatment plans. Jenifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Interdisciplinary Studies with a core concentration in Business Administration and dual concentration in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Southern Oregon. Currently, she is a student of marriage and family therapy (MFT) at Capella University a COAMFTE accredited university, graduating in September 2025. Upon graduation, Jenifer will be a marriage and family therapy associate (MFT-A). In addition to her mental health practice, Jenifer provides Oregon divorce paralegal document services, which includes forensic psychological child custody and parenting time divorce court-ordered evaluation consultations.
Jenifer is a flutist, mother of three adult children, and a Schipperke with separation anxiety. Jenifer is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
