Meet Judy Schmidt

Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Judy believes that everyone has the capacity to heal, learn, and grow—regardless of their history, culture, gender, beliefs, or past experiences. She firmly believes that it is never too late to begin the journey toward change. She deeply admires the courage and strength of those who seek therapy, whether it’s their first time or a continued effort to find the right therapeutic fit.

With over 32 years of experience as a business owner, 45 years of marriage, and a rich family life that includes two children and three wonderful grandchildren, Judy brings a wealth of real-world experience and insight to her work. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy because she understands firsthand how life-changing therapy can be when clients feel safe, heard, and empowered with the right knowledge and tools to move forward.

While she enjoys working with individuals and couples across all life stages, Judy is particularly drawn to mature couples, families, and individuals navigating life transitions, grief, and end-of-life challenges. Her personal and professional experiences allow her to bring deep empathy, understanding, and insight into her sessions—while always honoring that her clients are the experts in their own lives.

If you’re looking for a compassionate, supportive, and experienced therapist who will take the time to understand you, Judy would love to connect.
